The Section of Public Health, ScHARR is advertising for a Research Fellow. Post reference number UOS008529.
The primary function of this post is to support the HS&DR Evidence Synthesis Programme funded by NIHR to inform national policy and practice in the NHS. ScHARR is one of two Evidence Synthesis Centres commissioned by the HS&DR Programme (University of Sheffield and University of York) to produce evidence syntheses of immediate use to the NHS in order to improve the quality, effectiveness and accessibility of the NHS including delivery of services. Reviews conducted by the Evidence Synthesis Centres seek to address knowledge gaps in the full range of topics across the wide span of the HS&DR programme’s remit in areas of identified importance to the service.
Duties will include systematic reviewing, design and construction of research and consultancy proposals, development of systematic review methodologies, dissemination of findings in peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences and teaching. You will be expected to lead multi-disciplinary research teams, generate research and consultancy funds and contribute to the development and implementation of ScHARR’s research and consultancy strategies.
