Dr Louise Brereton from ScHARR’s Public Health section co-presented a session with Public Involvement representatives on stakeholder involvement in the INTEGRATE-HTA project at the De Bazel Conference Centre in Amsterdam. The session was co-presented with Jacqui Gath and George Wood (pictured right) at the project’s final conference. The international audience included academics, Health Technology Assessment agencies, decision makers and health care professionals.

Jacqui and George’s involvement in the session meant that public involvement representatives had a ‘voice’ and presence alongside HTA agencies and professionals. The session was very well received as they shared their rationale for becoming involved in the project. These being that it helped develop new concepts and methods for HTA which can be applied in a palliative care case study. They also shared their experiences of participating in a variety of meetings throughout the project.

Further information about the project and stakeholder involvement in the project can be found here.
